Our Mission has been and continues to be: to increase the initiation, duration, and exclusivity of breastfeeding in Polk County, by supporting, protecting, and promoting practices that are helpful to breastfeeding mothers and babies.

Welcome to the Polk County Breastfeeding Coalition Website. We desire to create a resource in which current, evidenced based information can be posted and utilized by mothers, healthcare providers, and community members.
Our group is comprised of mothers, lactation consultants, mid-wives, dietitians and community members. Our meetings are open to the public and we welcome any interested community member to attend our meetings.
